I have allergies – which Almond Farmer products can I eat?

On the back of all Almond Farmer products you will find a section called ‘allergens’. This lists any potential risk ingredients, so you know exactly what you’re eating. The most common allergen is tree nuts, which relates directly to the almond and most of our products are made solely from Almonds and nothing else.

Do you add sugar to your products?

Our almonds contain natural sugar and this is listed on the nutrition information of our packaging. Our Chocolate Almond Butter does contain a sprinkling of organic coconut sugar to enhance the natural flavours. Coconut sugar has a lower glycemic index (35) compared to white sugar (60 to 65), meaning it doesn’t spike your blood glucose and insulin. Coconut sugar is also a sustainable crop, which goes hand in hand with our sustainable farming beliefs.

What can I do with your almond butters?

Our almond butters are delicious to eat on their own (by the spoonful), spread on toast, add to smoothies or use as a topper for fruit and vegetables. It makes the perfect addition to any meal, like those in our recipe collection.

Why is almond oil beneficial for your skin and hair?

More than soothing dry skin, almond oil can improve complexion and skin tone. It’s highly emollient, which means it helps to balance the absorption of moisture and water loss. Because it is antibacterial and full of vitamin A, almond oil can be used to treat acne. Its concentration of vitamin E can also help to heal sun damage, reduce the signs of aging, and fade scars.

It also has powerful antifungal properties. Rub it on your feet to prevent athlete’s foot or to help remove other fungal infections like ringworm. You can use almond oil as a cleanser or to gently remove makeup as well.

The nourishing oil can soften and strengthen your hair. It’s rich in vitamin B-7, or biotin, so almond oil helps to keep hair and nails healthy and strong. It can also help protect your hair from sun damage, with a natural SPF 5.

You can use almond oil as a scalp treatment. Its antibacterial and fungicidal properties make it effective at balancing the yeast that causes dandruff. It easily soaks into the skin, so almond oil works well at hydrating the scalp and cleansing the hair follicles.

Where do I store your products?

Our products can be stored in the pantry. Should you wish to store the butters in the fridge, they will become a thicker fudge-like consistency.

Due to the natural oils in the products, the butter may separate, just stir them and they will be good as new again.
