By nurturing their South Australian farm with love and care, they’ve achieved their goal of producing premium quality, eco-friendly almonds and almond products for families around the world, while creating local jobs and supporting their community.
Our Story
Dennis and Pam Casaretto are our founders and began growing almonds in the late 90s after falling in love with the nut and its vast range of uses and many health benefits.
In 2002 they began farming almonds commercially with the vision to produce high quality almonds for wholesale markets under the name Casarosa Almonds Australia.
In 2012 their son Jarrad joined the family business and moved to the country. Dennis and Pam then purchased a second property nearby to plant a further 20,000 trees and expand production.
In 2017 The Almond Farmer was created to deliver farm fresh retail products to consumer tables all over Australia.
Committed to Sustainability
At The Almond Farmer, our passion for sustainability is evident in everything we do. From avoiding hazardous insecticides and fumigants to employing permaculture farming practices, we ensure our almonds are not only delicious but environmentally friendly as well.
We have installed solar panels on our sorting and packing facility, reducing our carbon footprint and reliance on fossil fuels. We are also conscious of reducing waste by recycling materials and utilising biodegradable packaging options.
Our efforts to be an ethical food producer extend to transforming any unprocessable almonds into 100% Pure Almond Skincare Oil, minimising waste and promoting sustainability while maintaining a high-quality food-grade product.
